About
I am a casual niche sports player, coffee enthusiast, and dog parent based out of Calgary, Alberta.

Originally from St. John's, Newfoundland, I moved to Toronto in 2015 to pursue my Master of Professional Communication, where I met my mentor and discovered a love for social robotics. I spent the next seven years focused on my studies, specializing in human-centred design practices for emerging technologies, focusing on how we can put people first by taking an ethics-based communications approach to design.

I now work as an Assistant Professor in Mount Royal's Information Design program, applying those human-first principles to my teaching and research practices.

Please reach out if you have any questions about my experience or would like to collaborate on future research!
